Francis Sarason Gibbs

Francis Sarason Gibbs (1831–1882) was the father of Lucius Tuckerman Gibbs, who was born in 1869 and died in 1909. Lucius Tuckerman Gibbs was the father of Wolcott Gibbs, an American theater critic, humorist, and editor who lived from 1902 to 1958. Wolcott Gibbs's maternal lineage includes Angelica Singleton Gibbs, the granddaughter of U.S. President Martin Van Buren, through her mother Anna Vanderpoel Van Buren Duer, the granddaughter of Van Buren.
