Zeng Qingyuan, male, was born in 1950 in Jinyuan Village, Yonghe Town, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province. He is the son of former Minister of Domestic Affairs Zeng Shan and the younger brother of Vice President Zeng Qinghong. Zeng Qingyuan served in the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force, attaining the rank of Major General. His military career includes several important positions such as Director of the Political Department of Air Force Logistics, Deputy Director, Political Commissar, and member of the Air Force Party Committee.
His educational background includes study at the National Defense University from March 1998 to February 1999 in the 14th cohort of the Commanders' Course. In 2010, Zeng Qingyuan honorably retired from active service, ending his military career. In September 2012, he enrolled at Guizhou Normal University to pursue higher education.
Regarding military ranks, Zeng Qingyuan was promoted to Major General in 1999. Beyond his military career, he also participates in social welfare and commemorative activities. On the evening of July 29, 2007, during a special performance at the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference hall to honor the Air Force Logistics Department personnel for the "August 1st" military anniversary, Zeng Qingyuan represented all personnel of the Air Force Logistics Department and handed over a donation of 100,000 yuan to Wu Xinfen. He was also seen embracing Wang Junjing, dressed in green military uniform. During the event, he expressed pride in the J-10 fighter jet and presented intricately crafted models of three J-10 aircraft to relevant leaders in Henan Province, Anyang City, and Anyang County.
