Anne Ayliffe was the wife of Edward Hyde, 1st Earl of Clarendon, an English politician and historian who lived from 1609 to 1674. She was the daughter of Edward Hyde, 1st Earl of Clarendon, and the mother of Anne, Duchess of York. Anne, Duchess of York, was the mother of Anne of Great Britain, who served as Queen of Great Britain and Ireland from 1702 to 1714.
