Introduction
Zhu Xingsheng, originally named Zhu Chongliu, his birth and death years are unknown. He was a native of Zhongli in Hao Prefecture (present-day Dong area of Fengyang County, Anhui Province) during the Yuan Dynasty. He was the brother of the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang, and the son of Zhu Shizhen. He died at an early age and there are no detailed records of his life. His son, Zhu Wang, also died young. After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty in the first year of the Hongwu era (1368), Zhu Xingsheng was posthumously granted the title of King of Xuyi, and Zhu Wang was titled King of Zhaoxin.
