Lan Huaying

Lan Huaying, an executive committee member of Macau Tourism and Entertainment Ltd., general manager of the SJM Holdings Group, was born in 1941 in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, with ancestral roots in Dapu, Guangdong. He is an outstanding entrepreneur in the fields of gaming, jewelry, clothing, and tourism. He joined Macau Tourism and Entertainment Ltd. in 1966, promoting the development of Macau's gaming industry, founding multiple enterprises, participating in social charitable activities, and donating over 9 million yuan to support impoverished university students. Lan Huaying served as the chairman of the Macau Olympic Committee, actively promoting the development of sports in Macau, and participated in organizing several large-scale international sporting events. In 2001, he was awarded the Sports Merit Medal by the Macau SAR Government in recognition of his contributions.

Lan Huaying comes from an illustrious family; his father, Lan Jianyi, was a抗日 general, and among his siblings is the famous Lan Qiongying. His influence on Macau sports has been profound, nurturing many outstanding talents and making significant contributions to promoting sports exchanges between Macau and the international community. His passing was widely mourned by society in Macau, with the Chief Executive and several leaders in social and cultural circles issuing condolence messages praising his contributions and influence, and recognizing his death as a major loss to the sports community.
