Thomas J. Hardeman

Thomas J. Hardeman was a Texas soldier and politician who lived from 1788 to 1854. He was the father of William Polk Hardeman, a brigadier general in the Confederate States Army. Mary Ophelia Hardeman, his daughter, was born on April 6, 1785, and died on September 24, 1835. She was the daughter of Ezekiel Polk, an American soldier and pioneer who lived from 1747 to 1824. William Polk Hardeman was the son of Thomas J. Hardeman and Mary Ophelia Hardeman, and he served as a Confederate brigadier general.
