Introduction

The Eighth Princess of Emperor Qianlong, eighth daughter of Emperor Gaozong Hongli of the Qing Dynasty. According to historical records, she was born on the seventh day of the twelfth month of the twenty-second year of Qianlong's reign (December 7, 1757). Her mother was Consort Xin, of the Dajia clan. Her maternal elder sister was the Sixth Imperial Princess. On April 28, 1763, her mother Consort Xin died due to difficult childbirth. On May 21, 1767, the princess passed away, officially recorded as being eleven years old, though her actual age was about nine. She was later buried in the tomb of Crown Prince Duanhui. During her funeral and related mourning activities, the primary consorts of Prince Ding'an Yonghuang (Eliari clan), Prince Xun Yongzhang (Borjigit clan), Prince Rongchun Yongqi (Xilin Jueluo clan), as well as the Seventh and Ninth Princesses, offered their offerings at Jing'an Zhuang to pay respects to the Eighth Princess.
