Introduction
Prince Dao of Xu Zhu Jiechun, the fourth illegitimate son of Emperor Yingzong of Ming, Zhu Qizh Zhen, was born to Consort Anhe Hui Wang. He was born on the twenty-first day of the second month in the first year of the Jingtai reign (April 6, 1450). His father lost the throne due to the Tumu Crisis and became a "son in power." On the second day of the fifth month in the third year of the Jingtai reign (May 20, 1452), he was granted the title of Prince of Xu by his uncle, Emperor Jingtai. On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month in that same year (January 3, 1453), he died at the age of only two years old and was posthumously titled "Diao" (Mourning). He was buried at Jinshan; his funeral followed the rites for a prince, but due to his young age, the ceremony was simplified. The exact location of his tomb is not specified, but historical records indicate it was near the Four Princes’ residences.
