Introduction

Mark James Julian Faber was born on 15 August 1950. He was an English cricketer who played for Oxford University and Sussex between the years 1970 and 1976. He attended Summer Fields School during his early education.

Faber participated in 78 first-class cricket matches as a right-handed batsman. Over the course of his cricketing career, he scored a total of 3,009 runs, with his highest individual score being 176. His performance included three centuries.

In 1976, Faber requested a release from his cricketing contract in order to join his family's insurance business.

Faber passed away on 10 December 1991 due to complications following a leg operation, which was related to an injury sustained during cricket in the early 1980s.
