Wang Guanghe, female, was born in Tianjin in 1926. She joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1945 and graduated from the Department of Stomatology at Peking University Medical School in 1950. In 1958, she earned the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences (equivalent to a doctoral degree) from Moscow State Medical Institute of Stomatology. She worked for a long time at the Plastic Surgery Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and at Peking University School of Stomatology's Stomatology Hospital, serving as the dean of both the School of Stomatology and the Stomatology Hospital.

She made remarkable achievements in the field of oral and maxillofacial deformities and reconstructive surgery. In 1988, she established the country's first cleft palate speech laboratory. In 1991, she founded the Cleft Lip and Palate Treatment Center and received multiple scientific and technological awards. She published more than 50 papers and was the chief editor of "Sequential Treatment of Cleft Lip and Palate."

Her father, Wang Zhichang, participated in the 1919 Paris Peace Conference and the 1921 Washington Conference of Nine Nations. Her sister, Wang Guangmei, was the wife of Liu Shaoqi. Her sixth brother, Wang Guangying, served as Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee. Professor Wang Guanghe passed away in 2013 at the age of 86, leaving a significant legacy in China's oral health medicine. Her death was a major loss to the medical community.
