Deng Zhuorui, born in 1972, is the eldest daughter of Deng Nan and the granddaughter of former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping. She is affectionately nicknamed "Mianmian" by her family. Among Deng Xiaoping's four grandchildren, she is the eldest.

In 2004, Deng Zhuorui married Wu Xiaohui, the former chairman of Anbang Insurance Group, a well-known Chinese financial firm. The couple had one son. According to media reports, the two later became estranged, and their marriage was said to have become a formality.

During the 2004 centennial commemoration of Deng Xiaoping's birth, Deng Zhuorui appeared in a televised interview alongside CCTV host Bai Yansong, where she shared personal stories and memories of her grandfather. Her appearance portrayed a modest and approachable public image.
