Hannah Quinlivan

Kun Ling was born on August 12, 1993, in Ximen District, Taipei City, Taiwan, China. She has a mixed Chinese-Australian background; her father is Australian, and her mother is of Chinese-Korean descent. She also has an older sister. Kun Ling officially entered the entertainment industry in 2008 through the variety show "I Love Black Sefuit". Since then, she has appeared on numerous variety programs, gradually building her popularity. In December 2011, she served as a guest host on the talent show "I Love Men". On April 10, 2012, she made her first appearance in a Chinese drama, playing the role of Peng Kaili in "Love on Chocolate". On August 15 of the same year, she participated in the runway show "Woman, I Max" alongside Lan Xinmei and Kobayashi Yumi.

In May 2013, she played a ballet dancer in the romantic food drama "The Dessert Shop Without a Name," marking her debut in dance performances within a TV drama. On July 30, 2013, she became the female lead in the music video for Wei Chen’s album "Climax," performing the song "Cover Lover." In January and December 2014, she guest-starred in the romantic comedy films "Dadaocheng" and participated in the Dragon TV star dance reality show "Dance with the Stars," respectively, but announced her withdrawal from the show in January 2015. Between 2014 and 2015, Kun Ling continued to appear in films, TV dramas, music videos, and variety shows.

On September 8, 2015, she co-starred with Zeng Peici, Lin Zihong, and others in the youth idol drama "Bright as the early dawn." In November of the same year, she played the lead role in the romantic film "Dreamy Good Times," which was her debut as a leading actress. In 2016, Kun Ling was invited to be a guest on the fashion reality show "My New Clothes" on Oriental Satellite TV, where she achieved the highest transaction price of 32 million yuan for a dress. On September 29, 2016, she co-hosted the show "Incredible Kids" with Meng Fei, and on October 15, she became the host of the iQiyi children’s talk show "Incredible Kids."

Between 2017 and 2018, Kun Ling provided voice acting for the film "Extreme Pursuit," and starred alongside Orlando Bloom and Ren Dahua in the same-titled action film, playing the handsome fighter An Jie Jie. In 2018, she participated in Zhejiang Satellite TV’s reality show "Keep Running Season 2" and starred in the racing film "Fury," directed by Jay Chou. In 2019, she starred as geologist Li Xiaomeng in the action movie "Heaven and Fire." In December of that year, she joined the reality show "Why Are You So Good-Looking." In October 2020, the film "Fury," starring Kun Ling, was officially released.

In 2022, Kun Ling announced her participation in Bruce Willis's new film "Scream of the Dead." She will appear in the variety show "The Brain's Top 11th Season" in 2024 and will be featured in episode 3 of "Journey to the West 3" in 2025.

Regarding her family, Kun Ling's grandmother is from Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Her father is Australian, and her mother is of Chinese-Korean descent, with an older sister among her family members. She began dating Jay Chou in 2010. On December 25, 2014, Jay Chou officially proposed to Kun Ling in the UK. The couple held their wedding in Sielby, Yorkshire, on January 17, 2015, and later had another ceremony in Australia. They have a daughter born on July 10, 2017. Their second child was born in June 2018, and their third child was announced to be born in April 2022.

Kun Ling actively participates in charity work, having attended numerous public welfare activities, including charity sales, benefit concerts, and donations for disaster relief. In 2020 and 2023, the couple donated several million yuan to disaster areas in Hubei and Henan, respectively. She is highly regarded for her professionalism and public image, and media have praised her for her strong work ethic and sense of social responsibility.
