Introduction
Sir Edward Wyndham, 2nd Baronet, was born circa 1667 and died on 29 June 1695. He was associated with Orchard Wyndham in Somerset, England. Wyndham held the position of Member of Parliament (MP) for Ilchester, Somerset, on three separate occasions: from 1685 to 1687, from 1689 to 1690, and again from 1690 until his death in 1695.
He was the fourth and only surviving son of Sir William Wyndham, 1st Baronet, who was born around 1632 and died in 1683. Sir William Wyndham, 1st Baronet, also served as a Member of Parliament and as Sheriff of Somerset during 1679–1680. His mother was Frances Hungerford, the daughter of Anthony Hungerford of Farleigh Castle, Somerset.
Sir Edward Wyndham married Katherine Leveson-Gower, the daughter of Sir William Leveson-Gower, 4th Baronet. The couple's heir was their son, Sir William Wyndham, who became the 3rd Baronet and was born approximately in 1688. Sir William Wyndham, 3rd Baronet, died in 1740, and he inherited the estate of Orchard Wyndham.
