Introduction
Jingyang Anjing Wang Zhu Qixi, courtesy name Ziming, was born in 1433 during the Ming Dynasty. He was the illegitimate son of Zhengjing Wang Zhu Zanju and the grandson of Ming Emperor Renzong Zhu Gaochi. His mother was of the Zhang clan. Born in the eighth year of the Xuande era (1433), he was granted the title of Prince of Jingyang in the third month of the eighth year of the Zhengtong era (April 7, 1443). His character was recorded as fierce and stern; he was summoned to the capital to be warned after allegedly inciting his elder brother Zhu Qiyan to kill a civilian through slander. He died on November 18, the first year of the Hongzhi era (1488), at the age of fifty-six, and was posthumously titled Anjing. His tomb is located northeast of Xiao Wei Ying Village, Xiwan Town, Qin County, Henan Province. Three years later, his third son Zhu Jianyí succeeded to the title.
