Introduction
She is the daughter of Takatsukasa Masamichi, a Japanese court noble of the late Edo period. Her grandfather is Takatsukasa Masahiro, a Kugyō or Japanese court noble of the same period, and her aunt is Takatsukasa Hiroko, who lived from January 15, 1814, to September 28, 1892. Her lineage includes Kuni Asahiko, her son, and Naruhiko Higashikuni, her grandson, who was a Japanese prince born in 1887 and deceased in 1990.
