Koma Yonai (Yonai Koma, March 1888 – January 19, 1941) was a Japanese politician and the wife of Prime Minister Kōmorō Yonai, the 37th Prime Minister of Japan. She was born in Tokyo.
[Life]
Koma Yonai was born in 1888 (Meiji 21) in Tokyo Prefecture as the eldest daughter of Kanjiro Okuma. Her birthplace was Aoyama, Tokyo.
[Marriage and Family]
She married Kōmorō Yonai in 1906 (Meiji 39), and they officially registered their marriage the following year, in 1907 (Meiji 40).
[Death]
She passed away on the morning of January 19, 1941 (Showa 16) at her home in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. She was diagnosed with gallstone disease and was undergoing treatment when she also developed cholecystitis, which led to her death. She was 52 years old at the time of her death.
