Gu Jingsheng (July 1913 – November 28, 2004), was born in Yishi County, Shanxi Province (now Linyi County, Shanxi Province). He was a member of the Communist Party of China and one of the main leaders of the December 9th Movement. He held the rank of Major General in the People's Liberation Army of China.
