Sarah Bradstreet

Sarah Bradstreet, born in 1638 and deceased in 1704, was the mother of John Hubbard, who lived from 1675 to 1750. John Hubbard was the father of Elizabeth Hubbard, who was born in 1730 and was the mother of Jesse Appleton, the second president of Bowdoin College. Jesse Appleton, in turn, was the father of Jane Pierce, who served as First Lady of the United States from 1853 to 1857 and was married to Franklin Pierce, the President of the United States during the same period.
