Harriet Smith

Harriet Smith, who lived from 1800 to 1867, is the maternal ancestor of a prominent American family lineage. She is the mother of James Smith Bush, who was an American priest, lawyer, and writer born in 1825 and deceased in 1889. Her grandson, Samuel P. Bush, an American businessman, is her son. Samuel P. Bush is the father of Prescott Bush, an American politician and U.S. Senator from Connecticut, who lived from 1895 to 1972. Prescott Bush is the father of George H. W. Bush, who served as President of the United States from 1989 to 1993. George H. W. Bush's son, George W. Bush, served as President of the United States from 2001 to 2009.
