Introduction
Almarus Digby (1889β1950) was the son of Lady Emily FitzMaurice, who was the daughter of Henry Petty-Fitzmaurice, the 4th Marquess of Lansdowne. The 4th Marquess was the son of the 3rd Marquess of Lansdowne, a British politician, who in turn was the son of William Petty, the 2nd Earl of Shelburne, a British Prime Minister. Lady Emily FitzMaurice died in 1939.
