Lady Georgiana Ponsonby

Lady Georgiana Ponsonby, who died in 1861, was the daughter of John Ponsonby, the 4th Earl of Bessborough, and was part of the British aristocracy. She was the granddaughter of Henrietta Ponsonby, Countess of Bessborough, and the sister of Lady Caroline Lamb, an English writer. Her maternal lineage includes Henrietta Ponsonby, Countess of Bessborough, who was married to Frederick Ponsonby, the 3rd Earl of Bessborough, and was the younger sister of Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire. William Lamb, the 2nd Viscount Melbourne, was her brother-in-law, being the husband of Lady Caroline Lamb.
