Introduction
Shu Zhuangwang Zhu Yue Lian, courtesy name Changzi, was born in 1388 and died in 1410 at the age of 22. He was the son of Ming Dynasty’s Shu Xianwang Zhu Chun. During the Hongwu era, he was bestowed the title of Shu Crown Prince; he died in the seventh year of the Yongle era (1409) and was posthumously titled Daozhuang Shizi. He was buried in present-day Jinniu District, Chengdu. In the tenth year of the Xuande era (1435), his younger brother Shu He Wang Zhu Yue A inherited the throne and posthumously honored him as Shu Zhuang Wang.
His wife, Lady Liu, was the granddaughter of Liu Zhen, the General of the Left Army. In June of the third year of Yongle, she was invested as Shu Zhuang Wangfei (Princess Consort). His children include Shu Jingwang Zhu You Yu, Qianjiang Daohuai Wang Zhu You Fen, and Shu Xiwang Zhu You Xun.
