Introduction
Yasuda Yoshio was born in Japan on November 9, 1888 (Meiji 21). His father was the first Yasuda Zenjiro, and his brothers included the second Yasuda Zenjiro and Yasuda Zenmitsu. After his birth, he was born as Ko Rokuro, and at around the age of two, he was adopted by Yasuda Masanosuke and inherited the family headship.
There are no detailed records regarding his education or childhood, but his family line was prominent in the business world.
Business Career
Yasuda Yoshio held numerous positions in the business sector. In 1919, he became the president of the Third Bank, playing a role in finance, and also served as president of Tokyo Tatemono (Tokyo Building). Additionally, he served as president of Tokyo Fire Insurance, auditor for Yasuda Bank, auditor for Katsuragawa Electric Power, and auditor for Yasuda Trading. Through these roles, he was involved in some of Japan's major enterprises of the time.
Furthermore, in 1921, he was appointed as a director of Hosho-sha, an organization believed to engage in public works and educational support. The variety of roles he held indicates that Yasuda Yoshio was active in multiple areas of business.
Death and Circumstances
Yasuda Yoshio was caught in the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. On September 2 of that year, immediately following the earthquake, his family mansion located in Honjo-Yokowashi (currently in Sumida Ward, Tokyo) was destroyed by fire. He was discovered as a burn victim along with his wife and children. He was transported to the Army Medical School the day after the earthquake but died on the 3rd. He was 36 years old at the time.
It is noted that his elder brother Yasuda Zenzo's family, who lived with him at the time, survived without harm.
Family and Relatives
His father was the first Yasuda Zenjiro. His brothers included the second Yasuda Zenjiro and Yasuda Zenmitsu. His wife was the fifth daughter of Watanabe Renkichi. Upon marriage, his in-laws included Sasaki Masakichi and Akashi Takichiro.
