Lady Selina Jenkinson

Lady Selina Charlotte Jenkinson, Viscountess Milton (3 July 1812 – 24 September 1883), was a British aristocrat of the 19th century. Her birth took place in London, England, where she was christened on 28 July 1812 at St Marylebone Parish Church. She was the second child of Charles Jenkinson, 3rd Earl of Liverpool, an influential politician, and his wife Julia Shuckburgh-Evelyn. Her uncle was Robert Jenkinson, the 2nd Earl of Liverpool, who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Upon her father's death, Lady Selina came into possession of a notable collection of William Shakespeare's works. On 15 August 1833, she married William Charles Wentworth-FitzWilliam, Viscount Milton (1812–1835). The marriage resulted in a single daughter and residence at Cockglode House, located in the Sherwood Forest area. Her husband was among the youngest individuals to serve in Parliament in the modern era. He died within two years of their marriage.

On 28 August 1845, Lady Selina remarried, becoming the second wife of George Savile Foljambe. This second marriage produced four children, including her eldest son, Cecil Foljambe, who inherited property from his mother and was later created Earl of Liverpool. Cecil Foljambe (1846–1907) was a prominent Liberal politician, serving as Lord Steward of the Household and participating in the New Zealand Wars.

Lady Selina died on 24 September 1883. Her memorial is located at St. John the Divine Church in Felbridge.
