Qiao Xiaoxi

Qiao Xiaoxi was born in China into a family that includes the late Qiao Shi, a former member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party, and his wife Yu Wen. Her father, Qiao Shi, held significant influence in Chinese politics. According to publicly available information about her family, family members released a family photo in 2021.

Qiao Xiaoxi joined Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing, China, in 1985, initially working as a doctor in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Surgical Department. As a master's degree holder, she was among the first specialized medical team members in that department. During this time, she was responsible for receiving foreign guests and scholars and served as a translator, promoting medical exchanges between China and abroad. Her work experience at Peking Union Medical College Hospital laid the foundation for her subsequent academic and professional development.

In 1987, Qiao Xiaoxi went to the United States to further her education, pursuing a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, thus beginning her overseas academic career. After obtaining her doctorate, she worked at the Detroit Medical Center as a senior researcher, focusing on medical research. During her time in the United States, she gained extensive research experience, dedicating herself to neuroscience and medical research.

As her career progressed, Qiao Xiaoxi gradually shifted toward academia and teaching. Until July 2021, she mainly engaged in basic medical research and higher education. Her research work covered fundamental medical studies, contributing scholarly results to the medical academic community. At the same time, she was involved in medical education, playing a role in training future healthcare professionals.

Currently, Qiao Xiaoxi focuses on basic medical research and teaching, leveraging her rich clinical and research experience to contribute to the development of the medical field.
