Thomas De La Garde Grissell

Thomas de la Garde Grissell was a member of the British peerage, with a family lineage comprising his daughter Mary Grissell, who died in 1842, and his granddaughter Ann Peto, who died in 1887. Ann Peto was married to James Alexander Campbell, a Scottish businessman and politician, and they were the parents of Henry Campbell-Bannerman, who served as the British Prime Minister from 1905 to 1908. Janet Bannerman, who died in 1873, was the mother of Henry Campbell-Bannerman and the mother-in-law of Ann Peto.
