Introduction
David Lloyd George, 2nd Viscount Tenby, was born on 4 November 1922. He was a Welsh peer and the grandson of David Lloyd George, who served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. His parents were Gwilym Lloyd George, the 1st Viscount Tenby, and Edna Gwenfrom Jones.
Lloyd George received his early education at Eastbourne College. During World War II, he served in the Royal Artillery after being commissioned into the military, and attained the rank of Captain.
Following his military service, he pursued higher education at Jesus College, Cambridge. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1947 and subsequently obtained a Master of Arts degree in 1949.
On 14 February 1967, Lloyd George succeeded his father as the Viscount Tenby, taking his seat in the House of Lords. He held the title until his death.
David Lloyd George, 2nd Viscount Tenby, died unmarried on 4 July 1983. After his death, the title was succeeded by his younger brother, William Lloyd George.
