Wang Xiwen

Wang Xiwen, courtesy name Chen, is the non-marital son of Wang Hong, the younger brother of Wang Yang, former Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and former member of the CCP Politburo Standing Committee.

Within the family, Wang Xiwen’s father, Wang Hong, has a legal wife with whom he has a son, Wang Xitao (courtesy name Juntao). Compared to his half-brother, Wang Xiwen’s status as a non-marital child has made his position within the family more sensitive.
