Introduction
Lady Wang, Imperial Noble Consort Gongshun Wenxi, whose birth and death years are unknown, was born around the 16th century and died in 1550. She was born in Fentong Village, Wen'an County, Hebei Province, and was the daughter of Wang Longzhi, a deputy director general of the Imperial Guards' Rear Army Office. She was the imperial noble consort of Ming Emperor Shizong Zhu Huoxtong and the mother of the emperor's second son, Zhu Zaiwen.
In the 13th year of Jiajing (1534), she was selected as a palace lady, undergoing multiple promotions and titles. In the 15th year of Jiajing (1536), she was conferred as Zhaopin. In the 16th year of Jiajing (1537), she was promoted to Noble Consort. In the 19th year of Jiajing (1540), she was elevated to Imperial Noble Consort. In the same year, her second son, Zhu Zaiwen, was established as Crown Prince but died of illness later.
Imperial Noble Consort Wang passed away in 1550 and was buried together with Consort Yan at Tianshou Mountain. Her spirit tablet is placed on the east side of the tomb chamber of Empress Xiaojie.
