Toshinori Maeda was the 12th Lord of the Kaga Daishōji Domain. He was born on February 18, 1533, in Kanazawa, as the third son of Maeda Saitō, the lord of the Kaga Domain.
During his lifetime, Toshinori Maeda succeeded as the 11th lord of the Daishōji Domain in 1849, following the death of Maeda Toshihei. After his adoptive father's death later that year, he also passed away in Edo, at the age of 23.
In terms of familial relations, Toshinori Maeda's biological parents were Maeda Saitō (father) and his concubine Kisa, daughter of Kyōsui-in (Kuze Kihō). He was a biological son born to his mother's relationship with his concubine, and after the death of his adoptive father Toshihei, he was succeeded by his younger brother, Maeda Tatsuoki, who was adopted as the heir.
His wife was his primary wife, Shōjōin, who was the daughter of Maeda Tadayoshi. The adopted heir, Maeda Tatsuoki, became successor following Toshinori Maeda's death, though he also died shortly thereafter.
