Yi Jiale (pinyin: Yì Jiālè) was born in China on September 29, 2014. According to a message posted by Yi Jianlian on his Weibo, Yi Jiale's birth involved seven hours of effort, resulting from his wife's hard labor during childbirth. In his Weibo post, Yi Jianlian expressed gratitude for his wife's diligent efforts and joy at the arrival of the new life.

Yi Jiale's name is composed of the initials "YJL" from the Pinyin of his name, corresponding to the initials of his father Yi Jianlian and his grandfather Yi Jingliu. His birth was celebrated by friends and relatives. Yi Jianlian shared multiple photos with his son on Weibo, including现场 photos, with friends and family present to congratulate them. His wife also posted photos from the scene, describing Yi Jiale as very cute.
