Introduction
Princess Shouyang, named Zhu Yao'e, was born on May 8, 1565, and died on October 17, 1590, at the age of 25. She was the third daughter of Emperor Mu of the Ming Dynasty and a half-sister to Emperor Shenzong of Ming. Her mother was Consort Li. She was born in the 44th year of Jiajing (1565). In the ninth year of Wanli (1571), she was married to Marquis Hou Gongchen. She passed away in the 18th year of Wanli (1590) and left no children. At that time, Marquis Hou Gongchen was in charge of the Imperial Secretariat. During the imperial succession dispute involving Crown Prince Zhu Changluo and Prince Fu Zhu Changxun, he also participated in related affairs. In the 45th year of Wanli (1617), Marquis Hou Gongchen , using his illegitimate son Hou Changgou to impersonate the princess's son, obtained the position of First Rank Commander. After Marquis Hou Gongchen's death, he was posthumously honored with the epithet Rongkang.
