Introduction

Heshuo Duanrou Princess, born on February 29, 1714 (the 53rd year of Kangxi), was the eldest daughter of Prince Zhongzhuang Yunzhi, Duke of Zhuang, and her mother was Lady Guo Luo Luo. She was raised in the palace after her birth and continued to be cared for within the imperial court during the early years of Yongzheng. Historical records refer to her as the Third Princess. In December 1730, the Heshuo Duanrou Princess married Qiemitodore of the Korqin Borshigid clan. In April 1731, the Qing dynasty officially conferred upon her the title of Heshuo Duanrou Princess, formally establishing her status as a princess. Her life spanned the reigns of Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong, making her a subject of historical study as a member of the Qing imperial kin during the middle period of the dynasty. She passed away at the hour of chen (around 7-9 am) on December 12, 1754, at the age of 41. After her death, like other princesses, she was recorded in the imperial genealogical records, but there is no documentation of her involvement in official government duties or records of offspring. Accounts of her mainly come from "Draft History of Qing" Volume 166 and "Four Records of the Qing Imperial Family," which provide documentation of family members and their marriage relations. Her life in historical records primarily revolves around her status and marriage, serving as a reference for studying Qing dynasty royal marriage customs and court structure.
