Introduction
Reginald Arthur Vyner was born on 10 March 1839 and died on 28 September 1870. He was the son of Henry Vyner and Lady Mary Gertrude Weddell, who was the daughter of Thomas Philip de Grey. Vyner was a member of the British Liberal Party and served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Ripon. He was first elected in a by-election in 1860, which was triggered by the death of John Ashley Warre. Vyner held the parliamentary seat until 1868, when he decided not to seek re-election. Aside from his parliamentary career, Vyner was at some point appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant in Yorkshire. Vyner did not marry during his lifetime.
