Introduction
King Yue Jing Zhu Zhanrong (February 9, 1405 – August 5, 1439) was the Legitimate Third Son of Ming Emperor Renzong Zhu Gaochi. His mother was Empress Dowager Chengxiao Zhao Zhang. His brothers included Ming Emperor Xuan Zhu Zhanji and Prince Xiangxian Zhu Zhanxuan. Zhu Zhanrong was born on the tenth day of the first month of the third year of the Yongle reign (February 9, 1405). On the eleventh day of the tenth month of the twenty-second year of Yongle (November 1, 1424), he was granted the title of Prince of Yue and established a residence in Dengqu Prefecture, but he never actually governed Yue State. He reigned for fifteen years and died on June 26 of the fourth year of the Zhengtong era (1439), at the age of thirty-four. He was posthumously titled Jing and had no children, so the Yue State was abolished. His princess was Lady Wu, daughter of Wu Sheng, who accompanied her husband in death and was posthumously honored as Zhenhui. She was buried in Baishui Valley.
