Introduction

Fulong'an (Manchu: ᡶ᠋ᡠᠯᡠᠩᡤᠠᠨ; transliterated by Mulind: fulunggan; 1746–1784), was from the Fucha clan, courtesy name Shanlin. His father was Fu Heng, a prominent official during the Qianlong Emperor's reign, and he was a nephew of Empress Xiaoxianchun. He was married to the Fourth Princess Hejiao, the Qianlong Emperor's daughter. He inherited the title of First-Class Loyal and Brave Duke, held various official positions, and reached the ranks of Crown Grand Marshall, acting Grand Councillor of the Grand Secretariat, Director of the Imperial Household Department, Master of the Imperial Ancestral Temple, Inner Guard Commander, Minister of War, and Commander of the Manchu Banners of the Plain White Banner. He was granted a portrait in the Ziguang Pavilion and was honored with titles such as “Riding within the Forbidden City.”

Brief Biography: In the 23rd year of Qianlong’s reign (1758), he was awarded the title of Fulong'an Heshuo Ducal Consort. In the 25th year (1760), in March, he married the Fourth Princess Hejiao, the emperor’s fourth daughter. In the 33rd year (1768), he succeeded Tuo En Duo as Minister of War and Commander of the Nine Gates, concurrently serving as a Grand Councillor. In the 35th year (1770), July, Fu Heng passed away; since his elder brother Fu Ling'an was deceased, he inherited the title of First-Class Loyal and Brave Duke. In the 38th year (1773), April, he was promoted to Crown Grand Marshall. He died on March 24, 1784, at the age of 39, posthumously crowned Qinke.

He had two sons: Feng Shen Jilun, whose formal wife was of the Borjigit clan, the 4th daughter of Guluun Hejing Gong Princess; and his second wife was Ilgen Jueluo clan, the fourth daughter of the Grand Secretary Sanbao, and sister-in-law to General Shi Tai. Adaptations and Cultural Influence: Fulong'an is often depicted as a prototype character in television dramas, especially in adaptations of Qiong Yao works and related films. In these dramatizations, his portrayal is usually inspired by the character of Fu Erkang; his name and actor may vary across productions. Notable versions include his depiction in the “My Fair Princess” series and its subsequent adaptations.
