Li Gang

Li Gang, born in 1927, joined the revolution in the 34th year of the Republic of China (1945). He studied at Xinhua Daily in Chongqing, Yan'an University, and North China Military University. In 1937, he was transferred to the North China Military Control Commission. He married Ye Jianying and has two children: Ye Xuanlian and Ye Wenshan. He has held positions in Beijing, the Central South Bureau, and Guangdong. After 1956, he worked in departments such as the Third Machine Department. His grandfather, Li Xuhu, was a Hunan Army general, and his brother, Li Pu, served as deputy director of Xinhua News Agency.
