Introduction
Bayas Kurang (Mongolian: ᠪᠠᠶᠠᠰᠬᠤᠯᠠᠩ, Cyrillic: Баясгалан; ?—1672), was a noble of the Borjigin Mongol clan and a leader of the Khorchin Mongols. He was a descendant of Hesar, the seventh grandson of Kuimonk Taha La, the sixth grandson of Boddidal, the great-grandson of Qiqike Xuan, and the great-grandson of Onggodaikhun Taiqi. He was also the grandson of Oba and the son of Tüshü Tögüdei, a prince of Barda. In April of the 2nd year of Shunzhi (1645), the eighth daughter of Qing Taizong, Princess Gurlen Yong'an, was married to Bayas Kurang; she was born to Xiao Duanwen Huanghou. In the 11th year of Kangxi (1672), he was posthumously titled Tüshü Tüji Prince of the Zasakh of the Left Wing of the Khorchin. That same year, Bayas Kurang passed away, and his son Alashan inherited the title. In the first month of the 31st year of Kangxi (1692), the princess died at the age of fifty-nine.
