Her family members include her husband Huang Jingqing, her son Huang Xiaoming, and grandson "Little Sponge". Huang Xiaoming is a prominent Mainland Chinese actor, widely recognized for his performances in film and television dramas.

In October 2015, Zhang Suxia held a wedding ceremony in Shanghai with her husband, son Huang Xiaoming, and his partner Angelababy. On the wedding day, Huang Xiaoming's mother, Zhang Suxia, made a rare public appearance, demonstrating the close family bond. On November 28 of the same year, netizens photographed Zhang Suxia and Huang Xiaoming strolling on the streets of Qingdao. In the photos, she maintained a smile facing paparazzi, displaying a peaceful attitude.

Additionally, on August 10, 2018, the China Securities Regulatory Commission announced administrative penalties related to Gao Yong's market manipulation case, involving individuals identified as "Huang Mouming" and "Zhang Moxia." Public opinion at the time suspected these individuals to be Huang Xiaoming and his mother Zhang Suxia. In response, Huang Xiaoming's studio issued a statement on August 11 denying any connection to the case. It was later confirmed that the individuals mentioned as "Huang Mouming" and "Zhang Moxia" indeed referred to Huang Xiaoming and his mother Zhang Suxia; however, Huang Xiaoming was not listed as a suspect or involved in the illegal case.
