Eleanor Herbert

Eleanor Herbert, who died in 1907, was the daughter of Mary Balfour Herbert. Mary Balfour Herbert was the daughter of James Balfour, a Scottish businessman, landowner, and Tory politician born in 1790 and died in 1845. James Balfour was the son of James Maitland Balfour, a British politician active from 1820 to 1856, and the grandson of James Balfour. Arthur Balfour, a notable British Prime Minister, Conservative politician, and statesman who lived from 1848 to 1930, was also a descendant in this lineage.
