Yoriyuki Sagara was the 13th lord of the Hitoyoshi Domain in Higo Province. He was born on October 15, 1798 (Kansei 10), and his father was the 12th lord, Yoriyuki Sagara.

### Life

Yoriyuki Sagara was born on October 15, 1798 (Kansei 10) in Hitoyoshi, Higo Province, as the eldest son of the 12th lord, Yoriyuki Sagara. His mother was a maidservant of Yoriyuki. On June 15, 1808 (Bunka 5), Yoriyuki became adopted by his father and formally recognized as heir to Yoriyuki's wife. The following year, on February 5, 1809 (Bunka 6), he was appointed heir apparent.

In 1814 (Bunsei 11), Yoriyuki was promoted to Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade, and was given the courtesy title of Omi no Kami. On October 6, 1818 (Bunsei 1), he inherited the family headship following his father's retirement. On May 13, 1824 (Bunsei 11), he changed his name from Yorishige to Yoriyuki and was appointed commander of Iki. He continued reforms initiated during his father's tenure.

On July 17, 1839 (Tenpō 10), Yoriyuki handed over the family headship to his eldest son, Jōfuku, and retired from official duties. He later died on May 10, 1850 (Kaei 3), at the age of 53.
