Lady Maria Booth Grey

Lady Maria Booth Grey was born in 1769 and died in 1838. She was the daughter of Lady Henrietta Cavendish-Bentinck, who was herself the daughter of Margaret Bentinck, Duchess of Portland. Margaret Bentinck, Duchess of Portland, was a British aristocrat, naturalist, botanist, and collector who lived from 1715 to 1785. William Cavendish-Bentinck, 3rd Duke of Portland, was the son of Margaret Bentinck and served as a British politician and prime minister; he lived from 1738 to 1809.
