Isaac Appleton

Isaac Appleton, born on May 30, 1704, and deceased on December 18, 1794, was the son of Isaac Appleton who was born around 1664 and died in 1747. His lineage includes Francis Appleton, the son of Isaac Appleton, who lived from 1733 to 1816, and Jesse Appleton, the son of Francis Appleton, who served as the second president of Bowdoin College from 1772 to 1819. Jane Pierce, the daughter of Jesse Appleton, was the wife of Franklin Pierce, the President of the United States from 1853 to 1857, and served as First Lady during his presidency.
