Charles Hobart is the son of Albinia Hobart, who held the title of Countess of Buckinghamshire from 1737 or 1738 until 1816. Albinia Hobart was the mother of Robert Hobart, the 4th Earl of Buckinghamshire, an Irish politician who lived from 1760 to 1816. Robert Hobart was the father of Sarah, the Countess of Ripon, who lived from 1793 to 1867. Sarah was married to F. J. Robinson, the 1st Viscount Goderich, a British Prime Minister and politician who lived from 1782 to 1859.
