Introduction
Liu Pingping (May 13, 1949 – December 3, 2009), also known as Wang Qing, served as the Director of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Domestic Trade of the People's Republic of China. She was the first daughter of Liu Shaoqi, the first Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and the second President of the People's Republic of China, Liu Shaoqi, and his wife, Wang Guangmei. Her name was given in commemoration of the People's Liberation Army entering Peking.
