Introduction
Lu Lu, born in 1988, is a television host at Hunan Television. During the New Year's Eve gala in 1988, she served as host and deputy director, responsible for inviting performers. One of her tasks was to go to Beijing to invite singer Liu Huan. Her only lead was that Liu Huan had participated in a CCTV evening show and had performed the song "The World Needs Warm-Hearted People." To find Liu Huan, Lu Lu contacted Huang Haitao, a staff member of the CCTV Arts Department, who told her that Liu Huan lived in a dormitory building in Beijing and that she had borrowed his sweater which was not returned. Lu Lu successfully located Liu Huan at that place and had a meeting with him.
In 1988, after participating in a performance in Changsha, Liu Huan spent several days touring Zhangjiajie with Lu Lu. When they parted, Liu Huan proposed marriage to Lu Lu, having known her for only nine days. At that time, Lu Lu believed that talent and intelligence in a man were more important than appearance. Liu Huan’s looks had been criticized by others, but Lu Lu said that he had this kind of appearance, evidenced by her previous sighting of him. On June 8, 1988, Liu Huan and Lu Lu got married.
Liu Huan, born August 26, 1963, is a renowned Chinese pop musician and educator. He is currently a music professor at the University of International Business and Economics. He is one of the few mainland Chinese musicians capable of composing, arranging, and producing music using a computer. Liu Huan’s representative works include the original music for TV dramas such as "Beijingers in New York" and "Empress Zheng Huan." In mainland China, he is a rare versatile musician who combines lyric writing, composition, arrangement, production, singing, and music education.
After marrying Liu Huan, Lu Lu and he had a daughter named Liu Yisi, nicknamed Sisi, born on September 2, 1991. Liu Huan once revealed that his daughter's name is derived from the Buddhist term "One Thread Unbound," symbolizing a pure state of mind and representing a noble practice. Due to Liu Huan’s busy career, he initially paid little attention to their daughter, with Lu Lu primarily raising her. Family life, especially the cherished memories of the family spending leisure days together, remains precious to her. On June 15, 2013, Liu Huan and his wife celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, holding a silver wedding ceremony. Afterwards, they traveled to Greece to watch the sunrise.
