Yang Shuai

Yang Shuai was born in Nanshaozhuang Village, Xushui District, Baoding City, Hebei Province. His father is Yang Jianzhong, an important figure in China’s rigging hardware industry. Yang Shuai grew up in a rural environment and, influenced by his family, developed a character marked by a willingness to take on challenges and strive for progress. After completing his higher education, he decided to return to China to develop his career.

In January 2009, Yang Shuai served as Special Assistant to the Chairman at Juli Group Co., Ltd. In January 2013, he was appointed a member of Juli Group’s Corporate Planning and Management Center while continuing to serve as Special Assistant to the Chairman. In January 2018, he was promoted to Vice President of Juli Group and concurrently served as President of Juli Science & Education Company. In January 2022, he was appointed Chief Executive President of Juli Group and also became President of Liu Ping Zui Distillery Co., Ltd.

In the liquor industry, Yang Shuai apprenticed under Li Zhongsheng, the inheritor of Liu Ping Zui’s brewing techniques, to learn brewing methods. Through practice he continuously accumulated knowledge of baijiu marketing and reinforced both the inheritance and innovation of brewing skills. He emphasizes the importance of passing on techniques by actively working on the production front line and humbly learning from predecessors. He played a key role in promoting the optimization and scaling of Liu Ping Zui’s production processes, ensuring that traditional techniques were preserved while achieving modernization.

Additionally, Yang Shuai established the “Craftsmen Class” to cultivate successors in winemaking, using oral transmission and hands-on demonstration teaching to expand the team of inheritors and promote the transmission of industry skills. His work has earned multiple honors, including Outstanding Worker in Enterprise Integrity Construction of Hebei Province; Hebei Province “March 8th Red-Banner Holder”; Baoding City “March 8th Red-Banner Holder”; Xushui District “Outstanding Party Affairs Worker”; and Baoding City’s “May 1st Women’s Model Worker,” among other honorary titles—highlighting his contributions to corporate management and the preservation and transmission of industry skills.
