Introduction
Dou Jiazhuan was born in Beijing, China, though her exact birth year has not been publicly disclosed. She was raised in Beijing and attended Chongwen Elementary School. During her childhood, she showed a strong interest in music, influenced early on by anime music, gradually expanding her listening habits to various musical genres. Her family includes her father, Dou Wei, a rock singer from mainland China, and her mother, Gao Yuan, a photographer. She maintains a close relationship with her half-sister Dou Jingtong, who is also a singer.
In her career, Dou Jiazhuan first appeared on stage in August 2016, performing as the opening act at a concert held by the Yugong Yishan in Beijing, where she collaborated with the band Miankou to perform "Love Song." In May 2017, she released a series of photos depicting her as Haur, the main character from the Japanese animated film "Howl's Moving Castle." On December 4 of the same year, she collaborated with the band Timers to release the single "Phantom," for which she wrote Japanese lyrics, included in the band's EP "Wrong Time," marking her official entry into the music industry.
In 2018, Dou Jiazhuan appeared on the cover of the June issue of the Chinese edition of Harper's BAZAAR alongside Zou Yuanqing, Hu Yuejia, and Lin Zixuan. On September 10, she released her first solo single "Star," composed by DECO*27, with an overseas version released later that September. On April 22, 2019, she released her second single, "Beauty In The Night." That year, she also participated in the Guizhou Rhododendron Floweers International Music Festival.
In 2020, Dou Jiazhuan released several singles, including "Hellow," "Gray Sea," "Under the Same Starry Sky," "Night’s Gate," "Small Island," and "One Day." She also participated in the Strawberry Music Festival and Malanshan Music Festival. In 2021, she took part in the program "Tomorrow Creation Plan."
In 2022, on her 20th birthday, she released a new single titled "Treasure" and attended the first Jinsha Ruoshui Music Festival. In July 2023, she released the single "Torture," for which she designed the cover art herself. In September, she released a new song, "Deep Heart," and produced a music video for it. Notably, her works in the same year were included in the music compilation "THE ONE Endless Dream," jointly curated by Billboard and Tencent Music Entertainment Group's QQ Music. In April 2024, she participated in the "If Music Has Shape" music event and won the "Best Newcomer Artist" award at the China New Music Charts in December. On May 7, 2025, her TV drama "Dear Enemies" aired, in which she also performed the soundtrack song "The大神神" ("The Great God").
