Hongzhi

Prince Hengke Hongjin (Manchu: ᡥᡡᠩ ᡷᡳ, Möllendorff transliteration: hūng jy; October 8, 1700 – July 3, 1775), was the second son of Prince Hengyun, his mother being Gurun clan’s concubine Gua'erjia. He belongs to the second generation of the Prince Heng royal line.

Life:

Born in August of the 39th year of Kangxi (1700). In October of the 3rd year of Yongzheng (1725), he was granted the title of Supporting Duke of Merit. In July of the 5th year of Yongzheng (1727), he was promoted to Duke of Supporting Grace and Benevolence. In September of the 10th year of Yongzheng (1732), he succeeded his father Yunqi as the second generation of Prince Heng. He died in June of the 40th year of Qianlong (1775), at the age of 76. His seventh son, Yonghao, succeeded as the third generation of the Prince Heng line, although the title was downgraded to a commandery prince.

- Concubine: Shijia clan, daughter of Erge. The First Historical Archives of China includes a document dated the third day of the fifth month, of the 44th year of Qianlong (1779), titled "Memorandum for Prince Hengyun Yonghao's Petition to Grant Mother’s Title as Concubine and Bestow Favor".
