Li Yan

Li Yan was born in 2006 at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. She is the daughter of Faye Wong and Li Yapeng. Her family background includes her father Li Yapeng, born on September 27, 1971, who hails from Pingdingshan, Henan Province, and is a male actor who graduated from the Central Academy of Drama's Department of Acting. Her mother, Faye Wong, was born on August 8, 1969, in Beijing, and is a renowned Chinese-language pop singer-songwriter. Additionally, Li Yan has an older sister, Dou Jing Tong, born in January 1997, who is the daughter of Faye Wong and her former husband Dou Wei.

At the time of her birth in 2006, Li Yan was diagnosed with congenital cleft lip and palate. Her parents began medical treatment for her at a very young age to improve her health. Li Yan’s成长经历 has attracted public attention; she demonstrated confidence and composure during childhood, capable of facing the camera, and mimicked celebrity makeup and expressions on social media, showing strong expressive ability.

Li Yan has shown outstanding talent in the arts. At the age of five, she displayed a gift for painting. In November 2012, she held a solo art exhibition titled "Autumn Children's Paintings" in Shuhe, Lijiang. Half of her works were sold in a charity sale, with all proceeds donated to the Yiran Angel Foundation to aid children with cleft lip and palate. Her painting "Little Bird and Panda" was sold for 1 million RMB at the Yiran charity dinner in 2013, raising over 2 million RMB in total for the foundation.

She has participated in several variety shows, including the large-scale survival reality program "Our Rules" on Anhui TV on June 11, 2016, which she appeared on with her father Li Yapeng. In 2018, on July 20, she and her mother Faye Wong appeared together on Hunan TV’s variety show "Fantasy City." In 2019, Li Yan went abroad to study at College Alpin International Beau Soleil in Switzerland—a renowned private boarding school established in 1910 in eastern Switzerland.

On her 14th birthday, May 27, 2020, her mother Faye Wong held a birthday party for her, and Li Yan shared childhood photos on social media. In 2022, she participated in a charity art exhibition organized by Beijing Yanjing Angel Children's Hospital. In 2024, Li Yan turned 18 and continued her university studies in the UK.
